Todokas siffermagi

Todoka var konstnärsnamnet som valdes av patienten Tony som under 1990-talet skapade ett fascinerande och mycket originellt verk på Säters psykiatriska sjukhus. Tony använde papperslapparna från banker och postkontor och fyllde dessa med sin intensiva ström av medvetandeskrivningar. Hans ämnen inkluderar Kristus, politiker, droger, konspirationer, kalla kriget, Martin Luther, döden och ett stort antal individer som inte är identifierade. Han inkluderar också vilda mängder uppfunna siffror (pengar?) ofta kombinerade med meddelanden. Han är en sann poet och associativ, nästan rytmiskt vis att uttrycka sig. Sättet han kombinerar ord på är halsbrytande: Stjärnhimmelsreformatorn, Vapenplutoniumensgud, röda-avtryckarknapparnastredjevärldskrigskoommendörerführer. Tony var uppenbarligen mycket oroad över möjligheten till kärnvapenkrig under kalla kriget och nämner detta upprepade gånger. Han tycks älska listor också och har gjort en rolig lista med droger och en rad andra systematiska textteckningar. Todokas verk finns i Mentalvårdmuseets samlingar i Säter. 

666 billions: the stream of consciousness of Todoka

Todoka was the artist name chosen by the patient Tony who during the 1990s created a fascinating and highly original body of works at Säters psychiatric hospital. Tony used the slips of paper from banks and post offices and filled these with his intense stream of consciousness writings. His subjects include Christ, politicians, drugs, conspiracies, the cold war, Martin Luther, death and a large number of individuals that are not identified. He also includes wild amount of invented numbers (money?) often combined with the messages. He is a true word-smith in the way he combines words in Swedish, examples are: Stjärnhimmelsreformatorn (the reformer of the starry sky), Vapenplutoniumensgud (the God of plutonium weapons), röda-avtryckarknapparnastredjevärldskrigskoommendörerführer. (the führer commander of the red button third world war). Tony was obviously very concerned about the possibility of nuclear war during the Cold war and mentions this repeatedly. He seems to love lists as well and has made a hilarious list of drugs and a range of other systematic text-drawings.
